A church in California is celebrating a spiritual revival when nearly 1,000 people came to be baptized on the beach on September 12.
The Calvary Chapel Church in Chino Hills initiated an outdoor baptism on Saturday at Corona Del Mar State Beach in Newport Beach. Amazingly, nearly 1,000 people reportedly came to participate. And all of them “made a public declaration of their faith in Jesus Christ.”
A Spiritual Revival
“California may be experiencing a spiritual revival,” Gina Gleason, the church director told CBN News.
Apparently, they were expecting only 300 candidates for baptism. However, unexpectedly, it tripled. Gina said that “it’s a remarkable and significant number.”
The place where everyone gathered reflected a joyous moment for adults, children, and families who gave their lives to Jesus. Hundreds experienced the love and goodness of God.
Powerful Movement In Southern California
For the past few months, Southern California has seen a powerful movement like never before. Despite the threat of COVID-19, believers fought and gathered together for worship and prayer. And in these gatherings, many unbelievers who participated received salvation as well.
GOD TV previously reported how Christians gathered in worship across California to stand against the state’s ban on church singing. Moreover, since the 3rd of July, a revival gathering has been taking place on the sandy shores of Huntington Beach. This was Saturate OC’s effort to “share the gospel and spread the good news about the Kingdom of God.”
Also, worship leader Sean Feucht revealed in an Instagram post how worshippers gathered together in Pismo Beach just recently. He took part in the event to celebrate peace and hope.
Sean wrote, “Thousands gathered on the beach to worship Jesus, and wow did God show up and BLOW OUR MINDS! Despite the threats, the CHURCH rallied with unprecedented unity! Dozens were saved and so many baptized! GOD IS COMING FOR CALIFORNIA!!”
The worship leader also told CBN News that “Something profound is taking place on the West Coast. There’s a courageous church rising in California that refuses to be silenced.”
