A lovely bus driver from Utah has been braiding the hair of a little girl whose mother passed away three years ago.
Tracy Dean, the sweetest school bus driver, has been styling Isabelle Pieri’s hair every morning since the poor girl lost her mother. She noticed the girl was having trouble fixing her hair, and she decided to help her out.
Patricia Pieri, Isabelle’s mom, died three years ago from a rare brain illness. Her daughter struggled with doing her own hair. Luckily, Tracy was there to help. As a part of their morning routine, the kindhearted bus driver started styling and braiding the girl’s hair. Tracy shared with ABC:
“I can tell she was struggling with her hair.
We usually do two French braids first and once in a while she just wants one braid. I also taught her how to brush her hair.
She’d get on the bus and she’d say, ‘I brushed my hair. Does it look good?’
I’ll say, ‘You did awesome.’”
The sweet bus driver is a mom of four, and one of her children is Isabelle’s age.
She says it’s not a big deal for her to help the girl out with styling her hair and she actually enjoys it.
“It’s just the way my mom raised me, to be nice to everyone—people who need a little love in their life.”
The schoolgirl’s dad, Philip Pieri, worked tough hours at a convenience store near his house in American Fork, Utah. After his beloved wife died, he tried fixing Isabelle’s hair, but he couldn’t manage. He is grateful to this amazing lady that takes care of his little girl and turned his daughter into the princess that she is. The single father shares:
“She’d get mad at me for pulling her hair. I didn’t know how to do it. One day [Isabella] came home and it looked beautiful. I call her my princess and she looks the part, she plays the part and her confidence is way up, which is what I’ve been intending.”
As per NBC News, it was really difficult for Philip to style his daughter’s hair. All he could do was giving her a crew cut. Fortunately, Tracy came into their lives and made the girl’s life a little bit happier. Isabelle could finally show off her lovely hairstyles without feeling ashamed.
Isabelle was only 9-years-old when her mother passed away, and this was crushing Tracy’s heart. Dean, herself, has survived in the battle against cancer several years ago. She couldn’t imagine what her children’s lives would be without her being around.
Isabelle loves Tracy, and her father is extremely grateful for her kind gesture.
The little girl exclaims:
“Tracy is the best bus driver in the whole galaxy!”
